The Nettle Experiments (2013-06-04)
On June 4th 2013 a group of individuals came together without prior knowledge of what they would do. The group foraged in the urban environment for nettles, collecting several kilograms, which they then experimented with to make several edible concoctions such as tea, beer, smoothies, and sweet-nettle-sushi. The experiments were followed by clean up and discussion time.

V-Day Chemistry: Bath-Bombs (2013-02-12)In what could very well be the last FiTYMi to happen in Tallinn, participants came to learn a bit of chemistry. During the workshop we mixed acids, bases, minerals, starches and oils to create bath-bombs which when dropped in the tub release bubbles, aromas, oils and salt into the water for a more enjoyable experience.
The food for the workshop was Red Beans 'n' Rice which is Cajun food from jtt's childhood. |
Robotics foundations: Doodlebots (2013-01-03)
FITYMI started 2013 with a bang by encouraging participants to take baby steps into the exciting world of robotics; Fake-it-Till-You-Make-ers experimented with making autonomous drawing machines, had miso soup and used their doodle-bots to create a really fun collective drawing.
With 11-14 participants this session was a little bit overwhelming but it made for a lively/social atmosphere and, of course, everyone seemed to have a great time. |
