Age 5I don't remember why, I must have seen Hitler or Charlie Chaplin on TV or something, but for a while when I was 5 I started wearing a fake toothbrush mustache. Sometimes I would cut it out of construction paper and tape it to my upper lip, other times I would use a pen or a bit of charcoal but the worst was when I used permanent marker. I suppose I liked the way it looked at the time but nobody ever explained its full significance.
